Our Mission & Values
Our mission is to make tennis accessible to everyone in the Dayton community. We do this by providing lessons and classes at affordable rates, commensurate to those of many popular youth sports organizations.
Why is this important?
We think that sports foster the most impactful, lasting friendships for children and young adults. Tennis is often referred to as a "country club sport" and as big believers in Raj Chetty's research on the positive impacts of social connecteness, we see tennis as an opprotunity to encourage some budding cross-socioeconomic friendships within the Dayton community.
Quality
Charging less for inferior instruction is NOT the equitable tennis community we envision. All our Coaches are certified by a professional coaches organization and up-to-date with the latest USTA (United States Tennis Association) youth training guidelines.
Friendship
We emhasize sharing, cooperation and communication to foster lasting friendships among players. We know that it's friendship that keeps students coming back to the court.
Affordability
Tennis is difficult to master without extensive and expensive training. Most of our programs are free and especially motivated students take private lessons at a 75% discount compared to other area tennis clubs.
Accessibility
We know it's hard to find time to travel to facilities, that's why we offer the Tennis At My School program. Most students are able to participate in an introductory class during gym or as part of an after-school program.

Maria Cioffi
Maria was a Division I college tennis player. She is a USTA certified tennis professional and learned to coach at JTCC in College Park, Maryland, a USTA NJTL organization and High Performance Training Academy. She was the assistant coach at the University of Dayton for three years and is also a Tennis for America and AmeriCorps Fellowship Alumni.

Our Programs
Tennis At My School
Learn the fundamentals of tennis at your school! These classes take place during PE class or as part of an after-school program. Sign-up is required for after-school classes, but most programs are free!
Kroc Kids Tennis
These classes are held at The Salvation Army Dayton Kroc Center for ages 4-12 and are great for beginner-intermediate level students to practice with other aspiring tennis players.
Private Lessons
For motivated students or those who can't make class times. Private lessons are personalized instruction and often where players can focus on specific areas for improvement and see the most progress.
